Out today on Route 67 from Chesterfield to the Derbyshire border just short of Rother Valley Country Park assisting with a Sustrans Accessibility study to promote wheelchair and mobility use on the Trans- Pennine Trail. Section heading north done today in wet and cold conditions but the sun shone towards the end. Some beautiful views along the Chesterfield Canal and a reminder it’s easy to take for granted what’s on your doorstep. Riding back afforded the opportunity for some day dreaming in the saddle.  The stress busting effects of a bit of casual day dreaming whilst dawdling on a bike should never be underestimated.

Cycled 30 mile round trip today to work raising £250 for Children in Need. Not a big commute for many but as a one off a big enough deal for me.

Chesterfield Cycle Campaign stall getting good attention in Chesterfield Market promoting women’s cycling.

Attended the East Midlands Cycle Forum today in Chesterfield hosted by the Chesterfield Cycle Campaign. Excellent day all round rounded off with a led cycle ride looking at old, new, and future cycling infrastructure in and around Chesterfield.
